New Zealand and Australia will clash in the final of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021 on Sunday (November 14) in Dubai. Both teams have never won the title and we are sure to have a new champion tonight.

New Zealand, led by Kane Williamson overcame the setback of losing their opening game to Pakistan to win the next four Super 12 games and then knocked out favourites England in a thrilling semi-final.

Aaron Finch's Australia have had a similar campaign with their only defeat coming against Ashes rivals England in a 'group of death' followed by an amazing win over red hot Pakistan in the second semi-final.

Australia opener David Warner and Williamson, who have played with each other for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Indian Premier League (IPL) over the last few seasons, will be on opposing sides tonight. Both have led each other for the franchise with Warner guiding them to the title in 2016, while Williamson led SRH to the final in 2018.

The 2021 season was a difficult one for the franchise and Warner who was the captain, was fired mid-way for Williamson and even dropped from the side for most of the second half of the season due to poor form. This led to speculation about their relationship off the pitch even as both remained cordial.

Warner is expected to go into the auction pool though SRH have not confirmed their retentions for the 2022 season.

In a post by SRH on Instagram ahead of the final on Sunday, David Warner in a heartwarming response to a fan who billed the game as 'Warner v Kane' said "we will both be winners".
