"I'm so proud of how far this young man has come! What he has done for the @starsbbl and Pakistan cricket has been extraordinary! He is a fine human and a great teammate, and someone who I will always treasure as a friend. You are a superstar @harisraufofficial," said Maxwell on his Instagram post.
Pakistan couldn't defend a target of 177 runs against Australia as Matthew Wade and Marcus Stoinis' unbeaten 81 runs partnership helped them win in 19 overs.
Rauf was outstanding with the ball for Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2021. The pacer went wicketless only against Australia in the semi-final. He bagged 1/25 against India, followed by 4/22 versus New Zealand, 1/37 against Afghanistan, 1/25 in a clash with Namibia, and 1/27 versus Scotland.
