Pakistan's T20 World Cup 2021 campaign came to an end on Thursday (November 11) with a loss against Australia by 5 wickets in the semi-final match. They had posted a score of 176/4 in 20 overs and Australia chased it down in 19 overs.

After David Warner's 49 runs knock, no Australian batter contributed much until Marcus Stoinis and Matthew Wade posted an unbeaten match-winning stand of 81 runs for the 6th wicket.

While Stoinis scored 31-ball 40 runs, Wade added a quickfire 41 off just 17 deliveries. He hit Pakistan's star pacer Shaheen Afridi for three consecutive sixes in the penultimate over and sealed the match.

But before Wade could get those big hits, he had nearly gifted his wicket to Pakistan on the third delivery of the same over. It was Hassan Ali who gave life to the southpaw which turned out to be very costly for his team.

Ali's senior teammate Shoaib Malik came to console him after the catch was dropped while Shaheen was in disbelief. Twitterati reacted to the huge moment after the match and they felt the outcome would have been different had Ali held on to the catch.
