India crashed out of the T20 World Cup 2021 after Afghanistan lost to New Zealand on Sunday (November 7). Their chances for the semi-finals was dependent on whether Afghanistan defeat the Kiwis or not.
The Indian cricket fans were supporting Afghanistan to beat New Zealand, but the Kane Williamson-led side didn't allow it to happen and won the match by 8 wickets in Abu Dhabi.
After the outcome of Afghanistan's match, Cricket Pakistan's Twitter handle posted a tweet, which read, "How are you feeling, Indian fans?". It was a taunt at the Indian cricket fans.
Former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer, who is famous for his sarcastic and witty posts on social media, dropped a hilarious response. He subtly mentioned their dominance over Pakistan in World Cup tournaments and wrote, "Had a heavy lunch between 12-1, still feeling full Winking face #NZvsAfg #T20WorldCup."
India have defeated Pakistan 12 times in ICC World Cup tournaments, while Pakistan have won only once, which came in the ongoing T20 World Cup tournament.
This is the third time New Zealand have qualified for the semi-finals of a T20 World Cup having earlier reached the stage in 2007 and 2016. India, on the other hand, have now failed to reach the semis for the fourth time.
