West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle had a bit of fun during their last Super 12 match of the T20 World Cup 2021 against Australia. Gayle was seen checking David Warner's pocket, which grabbed the attention of the fans.

The famous England cricket fans group, Barmy Army joked that Gayle was checking for sandpaper in Warner's pocket. "Has Chris Gayle just checked Warner's pocket for sandpaper," Barmy Army wrote on Twitter.

Warner was among the three players, including Steve Smith and Cameron Bancroft, who were banned for the ball-tampering controversy during the Newlands Test match against South Africa in 2018.

While Bancroft served a nine-month suspension period, Warner and Smith were handed a ban for a year each.

About Gayle, he was said to be making his last appearance in the World Cup, however, there is no official announcement made by the star cricketer or the West Indies cricket board yet.

The West Indies great scored 15 runs against Australia and bagged a wicket with the ball. They could only post 157/7 on the scoreboard and Australia chased it down in 16.2 overs to boost their net run-rate.

The net run-rate helped Australia secure a spot in the semi-final after South Africa defeated England but not with the required margin to qualify.
