Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra shut down a Pakistani actress, Sehar Shinwari, for accusing the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) of fixing India's match against Afghanistan in T20 World Cup 2021. Her tweet came after India outperformed Afghanistan and won the match by 66 runs in Abu Dhabi.

It was India's first win of the tournament and the victory was also important for them to stay in contention for the semi-final. They have lost to Pakistan and New Zealand in the previous matches before finally winning against Afghanistan.

After India's win, Pakistan cricket fans circulated a few clips from the match and started trending 'fixing', 'fixed match' on social media. They believed the match was rigged to favor India.

A few Pakistani journalists and famous personalities were also pointing fingers at Afghanistan's performance. "BCCI bought a good match," wrote Shinwari after Chopra lauded the team's performance.

Chopra responded to Shinwari's tweet and shared a quote that read, "If only closed minds came with closed mouths".

Asked to bat first, India openers Rohit Sharma (74) and KL Rahul (69) posted a 140-run opening stand to set up a base for a huge total. India went on to score 210-2 after Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant provided a good finish in the end and remained not out on 35 and 27 respectively.

Afghanistan were restricted for 144-7 in 20 overs after Mohammad Shami picked three wickets, and R Ashwin bagged two.
