Pakistan continued their dominance in the ongoing T20 World Cup as they thrashed Namibia by 45 runs in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday (November 2) to secure their fourth consecutive victory.
With this win, Pakistan also became the first team to book their place in the semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2021.
Apart from their on-field exploits, the Babar Azam-led side is also winning hearts off the field with their graceful conduct.
After qualifying for the semis, the Pakistan contingent visited the Namibian dressing room and congratulated the emerging team for their competitiveness.
It was a great gesture as the Pakistan cricketers, along with an official, can be seen entering the dressing room and cheering up the Namibian players.
Talking to Twitter, PCB posted a video of the same and captioned it as: “#SpiritofCricket - Pakistan team visited Namibia dressing room to congratulate them on their journey in the @T20WorldCup.”
Coming to the match, Pakistan piled up a massive 189/2 on the board after opting to bat first. Mohammad Rizwan was the top scorer with 79* off 50 balls while skipper Babar Azam hit 49-ball 70. Mohammad Hafeez also played a brilliant cameo of 16-ball 32*.
In reply, Namibia put up a good fight and managed 144/5 in their 20 overs. David Wiese top scored with 41-ball 43* and Craig Williams contributed 37-ball 40.
For Pakistan, Imad Wasim (1-13), Hassan Ali (1-22) and Haris Rauf (1-25) returned with impressive bowling figures.
