Following South Africa’s win against Bangladesh in an ICC T20 World Cup 2021 clash at Abu Dhabi, skipper Temba Bavuma said that it’s exciting to see Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje bowling in such conditions.
South Africa displayed a sensational bowling performance to thump Bangladesh by 6 wickets and register their third win of the T20 World Cup 2021.
Bowling first, South Africa jolted Bangladesh with early blows as Kagiso Rabada bowled a fiery spell with the new ball and left Bangladesh tumbling at 28/3 at the end of power play.

His pace bowling partner, Anrich Nortje, also left no stone unturned and took 3 wickets for just 8 runs. The duo of Dwaine Pretorius and Tabraiz Shamsi also chipped in as South Africa bundled out Bangladesh for just 84 runs, which the Temba Bavuma-led side chased with 6 wickets in hand.
Speaking at the post-match presentation, South African skipper Temba Bavuma said it was a good day for his side as they displayed all-round performance.
He added that to see Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje bowling in such conditions excites them and reminds them of playing at home and they are blessed to have both on their side.
"It was a good day for us. Obviously, the conditions were good for the pacers. Good effort with the ball, then clinical with the bat I would say.
“Excites us to have Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje bowling in such conditions, reminds us of playing at home. Blessed to have both of them in our side. One guy is touching 150, the other guy has all the skills and bowls high-speeds too," Temba Bavuma said at the post-match presentation.

Temba Bavuma said that they wanted to chase the target in ‘good time’ but the ball was still nipping even when he went to bat. While talking about the match against England, he said they need to play their best cricket and would like to make amends.
"We wanted to get the score in a good time. It was tricky because it was still nipping around when I went in. Big game. England... we need to play our best cricket. They have had the better of us of late. We would like to make amends,” he said.
South Africa will face England in their next T20 World clash on Saturday (6th November) at Sharjah and a win is likely to seal them a spot in the semi-finals.
