India couldn't make a strong comeback after a loss against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2021 and suffered another defeat at the hands of New Zealand. On Sunday (October 31), India's chance of reaching the semi-final was dented after New Zealand won the match by 8 wickets in Dubai.

Team India posted a low target of 111 runs which was chased down by the Kiwis in 14.3 overs. Jasprit Bumrah was the only Indian bowler to take wickets in the match.

The fans of the Indian cricket team were upset with the outcome and there were criticism of their performance on social media. The trolls also targetted the players after the disappointing outing in the tournament so far.

Former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir came in support of Team India and said that it is shameful to see how Virat Kohli and his men are being trolled on social media after the loss.

"I still believe India is a best team it's just a matter of having a good time or bad time but abusing players and their family is such a shame don't forget the end of the day it's just a game of cricket," Amir tweeted.

India next play Afghanistan in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday before they take on Scotland and Namibia in their last two Super 12 matches. They will now have to rely on other results to get a place in the top two in their group.
