New Zealand crushed India in the Super 12 encounter by 8 wickets and chased down a modest target of 111 runs in 14.3 overs. Team India's loss has reduced their chances of qualifying for the semi-final in the T20 World Cup 2021.

After the game, former West Indies captain Daren Sammy posted a tweet that fans assumed was a subtle dig at the Indian cricket team. Sammy wrote that he just heard a song in his playlist which goes, "someone please call 911, I'm in trouble I'm in really big trouble".

India have lost both the matches in the ongoing tournament so far. They started with a defeat against Pakistan by 10 wickets, and now after the Kiwis gave Virat Kohli and co a hard time, it looks like an uphill task to reach the semi-final.

"Ooooops just heard this song playing on my playlist 'someone please call 911, I’m in trouble I’m in really big trouble'," wrote Sammy on Twitter.

When a Twitter user from India felt it was a jibe at Team India, he replied, "Come on Darren, you're better than this". To which, the ex-cricketer responded, "What's wrong".

India will next play Afghanistan, Scotland, and Namibia in their remaining Super 12 games, and their fate in the tournament depends on other teams' outcomes.
