England defeated Australia by eight wickets in their Super 12 Group 1 match of the T20 World Cup 2021 on Saturday (October 30). They chased down a small target of 126 comfortably with 50 balls left after Jos Buttler tore the Australian bowling attack apart.
Buttler scored unbeaten 71 runs off 32 deliveries which included 5 sixes and 5 fours. He looked unstoppable and attacked every bowler in the Australian bowling line-up.
The 31-year-old's sixes traveled far away from the boundary ropes and one of the hits even produced a hilarious moment in the commentary box. The former Aussie all-rounder Shane Watson mistook a Buttler six for the moon as the ball sailed over the boundary and went into the stands.

When Watson saw footage after Buttler smashed Mitchell Starc for a six, he mistook the zoomed-in ball as the moon, and said, “Isn’t that incredible, the beauty of the earth that we live on."
Everyone was in splits when Nasser Hussain revealed, "Thought that's a cricket ball. It's the one Buttler hit earlier". ICC shared the video on their Instagram account and created a meme out of it.
"That Jos Buttler shot really was out of this world ???? #T20WorldCup," they wrote while posting the edited video on Instagram with creativity.
After Australia's biggest defeat in terms of balls (50) in T20Is and their biggest loss in terms of wickets (8) at the T20 World Cup, England almost sealed their spot in the semi-final.
