Australia batter Glenn Maxwell was recently seen playing an unusual shot while batting in the practice session. The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Thursday (October 28) had posted the video and asked him to name the bizarre shot.

Maxwell is known for his unorthodox cricketing shots but this time he surprised everyone with a unique paddle shot. The Aussie responded to Circle of Cricket and revealed that he learned it at the age of eleven.

The 33-year-old tagged one of his friends and wrote, "@scootersbcc taught me it when I was 11". Maxwell also attached a video in which he can be seen playing the shot multiple times in the nets during the IPL 2021 for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Maxwell was part of the RCB franchise in the 2021 season and he had a terrific outing with the bat. The Australian batter ended the season with 513 runs, the most for RCB this edition.

Currently, Maxwell is part of the T20 World Cup 2021, but he hasn't been able to repeat the same performance from IPL 2021. He scored 18 runs against South Africa, and 5 runs against Sri Lanka, in Australia's victories.
