Australia pacer Mitchell Starc gave fans a major throwback with his fiery yorker to Sri Lanka batter Kusal Perera on Thursday (October 28) in the T20 World Cup 2021. Starc reminded fans of a similar near-to-perfect yorker to Ben Stokes in the ICC World Cup 2019 encounter against England.

In both the deliveries, the batter failed to bring the bat down on time which ended up shattering their stumps. Starc's delivery to Perera clocked 144 km/h on the speedometer.

The speedster bowled a toe-crusher on the third ball of the 11th over after being hit for a six over his head on the previous delivery. He picked up 2 wickets in his 4 overs giving away just 27 runs.

Sri Lanka were eventually restricted to 154/6 in their 20 overs as Adam Zampa also bowled a tight spell and registered figures of 2/12 in his four overs. The Aussies chased down the target in 17 overs with 7 wickets in hand as David Warner scored 65 off 42 balls.

The delivery by Starc was appreciated by the Twitterati who compared it with the equally beautiful delivery against Stokes.
