T20 World Cup 2021: Waqar Younis says Mohd Rizwan doing Namaz amidst Hindu Indian players was special to him

Pakistan beat India by 10 wickets, their 1st ever win in World Cup tournaments.

Pakistan, led by Babar Azam, cleaned house against Virat Kohli and co. and gained two important points while creating history as well.

With this win, Pakistan broke a 29-year-old streak of losing in World Cup matches against India as unbeaten half-centuries from captain Babar Azam and keeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan helped Pakistan overhaul the 152-run target with ease after Shaheen Afridi’s three wickets had broken Indian batting’s spine.

Speaking about the match on a Pakistani ARY news channel, Waqar Younis praised the Pakistani team but highlighted that Mohammad Rizwan doing the namaz on the field during the match in midst of Hindu Indian players was the thing that was very special to him. Former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar, who was part of the TV discussion, was seen smiling at Younis’ statement.
