Pakistan might have outplayed India in their T20 World Cup 2021 opener, but skipper Babar Azam advised his troops to not get overexcited and reminded them that their ultimate goal is to win the coveted trophy.
The Babar-led Pakistan side thrashed India by 10 wickets in Dubai on Sunday (October 24) to end their losing streak in the ICC World Cup tournaments against the arch-rivals.
Shaheen Afridi (3-31) starred with the ball as Pakistan restricted India to 151/7 and later chased down the total without breaking a sweat in 17.5 overs.

"This is not individual performance. We have won the match as a team. We can't let our momentum go. This is the start. Enjoy but don't get overexcited," Babar told his teammates in a video shared by PCB on Twitter.
"We can enjoy tomorrow but we should start focusing again because we have a match the day after tomorrow. This match is gone now. Our focus is one. What is that? We have to win the World Cup.
"We can't afford to relax after this. Be it bowling, batting, or fielding, we have to give our 100 percent. As a team, we have won. We will enjoy it with our families, but we shouldn't get overexcited. Please, I am requesting you all. We can't afford to lose our focus
"Yeh hamari aadat hai. Yeh change karni hai humein (This is our habit. We need to change it). I have the belief in everyone... this will change. And we will only be able to change it. No one else. Very well done."
In the chase, wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Rizwan stayed unbeaten on 79 off 55 balls (6 fours and 3 sixes) while captain Babar returned with 68 not out off 52 balls (6 fours and 2 sixes).
Pakistan will take on New Zealand in their next game at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Tuesday (October 26).
