Pakistan captain Babar Azam's father got emotional after their win over India by 10 wickets in the 2021 T20 World Cup. Babar's father was in tears while Pakistan fans celebrated the historic victory at the Dubai International Stadium.

Pakistani journalist Mazher Arshad shared the video in which Babar's father, who is sitting in the stands, was surrounded by fans who were congratulating him. "This is Babar Azam’s father. So happy for him. I first met him in 2012 at Adnan Akmal’s walima," the journo wrote.

"Babar at that time was 3 years away from Pakistan debut. I clearly remember what his father told me “bas debut ho jane do. Agay sara maidaan babar ka hai," he added.

Pakistan registered their first win against India in the ICC World Cup history. After winning the toss, Babar asked India to bat first, and the Virat Kohli-led side could only score 151/7 in 20 overs.

In reply, Pakistan openers Babar and Mohammad Rizwan successfully chased the target with 13 balls to spare and 10 wickets in hand.

Speaking after Pakistan's big win over India, Babar said, "We can't afford to relax after this. Be it bowling, batting or fielding, we have to give our 100 percent. As a team, we have won. We will enjoy it with our families, but we shouldn't get overexcited. Please, I am requesting you all. We can't afford to lose our focus."
