India took on Australia in their second warmup match of the T20 World Cup 2021 in a day encounter at the ICC Academy ground in Dubai on October 20, 2021. India had previously beaten England by 7 wickets on Oct 18 in their first warm-up match at the same venue.

Aaron Finch of Australia won the toss and chose to bat first and interestingly, Rohit Sharma had come out for the toss in place of Virat Kohli. Ishan Kishan was seen taking on the wicketkeeping gloves for this match, as Rishabh Pant was rested.

However, Pant, who played against England, was seen sharpening his keeping skills with none other than Team India mentor MS Dhoni on the sidelines of the match. Cameras captured Dhoni having a wicketkeeping session with Pant when the play was halted for a few minutes due to sightscreen issues at the venue.

R Ashwin gave India a good start, removing David Warner and Mitchell Marsh in the second over of the Australian innings and then Ravindra Jadeja removed Aaron Finch. Glenn Maxwell (37) hit some good boundaries, before getting bowled by Rahul Chahar.
