England skipper Eoin Morgan has confirmed that power-hitter Liam Livingstone is fully fit and has recovered from the injury before the Super 12s stage of ICC T20 World Cup 2021. 

Liam Livingstone gave English fans a mini heart attack when in a warmup game against India on 18th October, as he injured his finger while fielding and then subsequently left the field. 

However, England skipper Eoin Morgan has confirmed that the little finger of Livingstone’s left hand had swollen but now is fit for the marquee tournament. 

"Liam is fine and fully fit. No other problems so far, touch wood,” Eoin Morgan told reporters.

Eoin Morgan also lauded Moeen Ali, who scored 43 runs off 20 balls against India in the warmup game, and said that the southpaw is a player they can utilize at any stage of the tournament. 

"Moeen's been in fine form. He's been in great form in the Indian Premier League and yesterday he showed great confidence at the wicket. You would have to say in the form he's in, he's a good player we could utilize at any stage of the tournament,” he said. 

Coming to the warmup match, England suffered a thumping defeat against India. Even after scoring a mammoth total of 188 runs, the Virat Kohli-led side chased the target with one over to spare. 

They will next face New Zealand in their second warmup game on 20th October in Abu Dhabi before starting their campaign against defending champions West Indies in Dubai on Saturday (23rd October).
