Asked to bowl first, Pakistan restricted the defending T20 Champions to a paltry 130/7 in 20 overs. Hassan Ali (2-21), Haris Rauf (2-32), and Shaheen Afridi (2-41) picked up two scalps each while spinners Imad Wasim (1-6) and Shadab Khan (0-7) gave away just 13 runs off their five combined overs.

In reply, Pakistan rode on skipper Babar Azam’s 41-ball 50 and Fakhar Zaman’s unbeaten 46 off 24 balls to overhaul the target with 27 balls to spare.

Apart from Pakistan’s dominance with both bat and ball, the match also saw a hilarious banter involving Babar and Shadab.

During the first over of West Indies’ innings, Lendl Simmons stole a quick single on the second ball, prompting the Pakistan captain to point out Shadab’s lack of agility on the field.
