T20 World Cup 2021: Afridi says whichever team handles pressure better will win between India and Pakistan

India have defeated Pakistan in all their previous meetings in the ICC World Cup tournaments.

Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has featured in a lot of India-Pakistan clashes, including the ICC events, and he knows what it takes to outperform the other team. The arch-rivals will be up against each other once again in the 2021 T20 World Cup.

Afridi believes the team that can handle pressure and makes less mistakes will win the match. India and Pakistan are scheduled to lock-horns on October 24 at the Dubai International Stadium.

"See, India vs Pakistan is always a high-pressure game. And whichever team handles pressure better will win. Also, whichever teams make the smallest of mistakes has a better chance of winning," he said.

Pakistan have made a few changes in their T20 World Cup squad. After the inclusion of Sarfaraz Ahmed, Fakhar Zaman, and Haider Ali into the squad, they have replaced Sohaib Maqsood with Shoaib Malik.

Afridi backed the move to include veteran batter Malik in the squad after Maqsood suffered a back issue. "Good to see Shoaib Malik recalled for the T20 World Cup. As a senior and experienced player, he can contribute big time for Pakistan. All the best," tweeted Afridi.

Malik had led the Pakistan side in the inaugural ICC T20 World Cup in 2007. He later featured in the title-winning squad in 2009, and then 2012, 2014, and 2016 tournaments.
