Former India opener Aakash Chopra opened up about which four teams he thinks will end up in the semi-finals of the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2021, which begins on October 17 and will be played in the UAE and Oman.
The global T20I tournament, which returns after a gap of five years, will see the giants of T20I cricket go head to head against each other. Keeping that in mind, Aakash Chopra has chosen which four teams will make it into the knockouts.
Taking to his Twitter, Aakash Chopra answered a fan query when asked which four teams would reach the T20 World Cup 2021 semi-finals. Chopra tweeted, “India, Pakistan, England, West Indies.”
All four teams have previously won the competition with West Indies being the only two-time winners and currently the defending champions of the T20 World Cup. England and West Indies are in Group 1 of the Super 12 while India and Pakistan are pitted in Group 2 along with New Zealand, Afghanistan, and two qualifying teams.
Arch-rivals India and Pakistan will go up against each other in the Super 12 encounter on October 24 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
