T20 World Cup 2021 fixtures announced; India-Pakistan clash on October 24

The tournament will kick-off with Round 1 on October 17 at Oman.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the fixtures of the upcoming Men's T20 World Cup 2021 on Tuesday (August 17). The tournament will kick off on October 17 with two Round 1 (qualifiers) matches of Group B.

Hosts Oman will face Papua New Guinea, and later Scotland and Bangladesh will lock horns in the evening match. The four teams of Group A in the qualifiers are Ireland, Netherlands, Sri Lanka, and Namibia. The Round 1 matches will be played till 22 October between eight teams.

The second round of the tournament, the Super 12 stage will kick start in Abu Dhabi on 23 October, with the Group 1 match between Australia and South Africa. 

India will start their campaign in Dubai on October 24 against the arch-rivals Pakistan of Group 2. New Zealand and Afghanistan are the other teams scheduled to face India, while two more teams will be decided after Round 1. India's Super 12 matches conclude on November 8 in Dubai.

October 24: India vs Pakistan at Dubai International Stadium

October 31: India vs New Zealand at Dubai International Stadium

November 3: India vs Afghanistan at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi

November 5: India vs Group B1 at Dubai International Stadium

November 8: India vs Group A2 at Dubai International Stadium

The two semifinals will be played on November 10 and 11 with the final to be held on November 14.
