Premier Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya has backed himself to return to bowling at full tilt by the time the T20 World Cup comes around.

Hardik Pandya’s bowling has been one of the major concerns for Virat Kohli-led Team India. After having undergone a back surgery last year, Pandya bowled his full quota of four overs for the first time during the T20I series against England earlier this year, which India won 3-2.

However, in the ODI series between the nations flamboyant all-rounder played as a specialist batsman in the first two ODIs and rolled his arm in the last ODI and bowled 9 overs but stayed away from bowling during the first half of IPL 2021.

Hardik Pandya doesn't even fit into playing XI in shorter formats if he can't bowl, says Sarandeep Singh

With T20 World Cup few months away, Hardik Pandya’s bowling would be crucial for Team India as it provides the skipper with six bowling options.

In an interaction with TOI sportscast, star Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya said that he wants to bowl in all the games of the T20 World Cup.

“For me, I want to make sure, and I will be able to, that I bowl in all the games of the (T20) World Cup. I am just trying to be smart and make sure that I don't miss that. My full focus is on the World Cup,” Hardik Pandya told the ‘TOI Sportscast.

Pandya admitted that he is managing his workload as he wants to give his 100% when he plays for the country.

“Yes, on the bowling front, what matters is how fit I am. Even after my surgery, I didn't drop my pace. My bowling is related to my fitness. The fitter I get, the better it comes out. Whenever I play, I don't want to play at 50%. (When) I play, I will play at 100%,” he said.

Hardik Pandya has been named in the Indian squad that will tour Sri Lanka in July. With second-string Indian side touring the island nation it would be interesting to see if the flamboyant all-rounder rolls his arm over with the ball.
