Former Australia captain Mark Taylor reckons the International Cricket Council (ICC) should make a decision on the fate of T20 Word Cup in the coming week amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The ICC board is all set to meet on May 28 to discuss a variety of issues related to the game during this phase of lockdown.

Taylor thinks shifting the flagship T20 event, scheduled in Australia from October 18 to November 15, should be one of the news to come out of the all-important meeting.
"It would probably be good (if a decision is made)," Taylor told the Nine Network on Sunday (May 24). "Because then everyone can start planning and we can stop sitting here and saying ‘well ifs, buts or maybes’. My feeling is the World T20 won’t go ahead in Australia in October as planned."
"Is it going to be viable to have a world tournament in October or November? The answer to that is probably no."
However, it is highly likely the governing body will wait and watch how things might transpire in the coming months before taking any such decision.
But given it is a 16-team event, there are multiple logistical challenges of hosting the T20 World Cup on time because of the travelling restrictions that are in place across the globe.
For ICC and its member nations, deferment shouldn't mean significant financial losses, as the tournament is part of a bundle of events sold to broadcaster, Star Sports, for the FTP cycle running till 2023.
