Smriti Mandhana top-scored with 74 with 11 fours and 1 six, while Shafali Verma made 55 with 10 fours, adding 115 runs for the first wicket inside 12 overs. Richa Ghosh made 20* in 8 balls, while Harmanpreet Kaur’s 12 and Deepti Sharma’s 10* gave India the perfect finish as they ended up with 209/5 in 20 overs.
Nandini Sharma gave India the best start by removing Heather Siegers for 21 and captain Babbette de Leede for 28 runs. At the time of writing this piece, the Netherlands Women made 105/5 in 15 overs.
Meanwhile, Indian women suffered an injury scare as spinner Shreyanka Patil suffered a twisted ankle and was carried off on a stretcher.
The incident happened during the Netherlands' sixth over of the innings. When Shreyanka injured herself while attempting to stop the ball in the field, she had only bowled one delivery. Shreyanka pursued the ball from midwicket to stop further runs after Phebe Molkenboer played it into the leg side.
She twisted her ankle while doing this, and she seemed to be in pain right away. To evaluate her condition, medical personnel raced onto the field. Shreyanka was eventually carried off the field on a stretcher because she was unable to bear weight on her right leg.

The off-spinner had just recently resumed playing cricket after missing over a year due to various injuries, so the injury was a blow. BCCI also gave an update on Patil's injury on their official X account.
