India all-rounder Washington Sundar tweeted videos of his training ahead of his expected return to the team's 2026 T20 World Cup squad in the coming weeks.
Sundar suffered a side strain and rib muscle injury during the ODI series against New Zealand before the World Cup. He skipped the five-T20I series that followed, sparking concerns that he would also be barred from competing in the headline event. Nonetheless, India named him to the squad.
Sundar posted a few photographs and videos on Instagram that appeared to be from the BCCI's Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru (CoE). Sundar, like other injured cricketers, has spent the last few weeks training and regaining full health, which he demonstrated by filming himself lifting weights and bowling a few balls in an open-nets game.
