Ali Khan was a member of the USA's T20 World Cup team in 2024 and played in the Group A matches against India and Pakistan, dismissing Rishabh Pant and Fakhar Zaman, respectively. He has played 15 ODIs and 18 T20Is for the USA thus far, dismissing 33 and 16 batters, respectively.
The 35-year-old cricket player, who was born in Attock City, Punjab, Pakistan, posted a photo of himself on Instagram Stories on Tuesday, January 13, with the message, "India visa denied but KFC for the win."

Ali Khan has taken 93 wickets in 99 Twenty20 outings thus far. He played with the Gulf Giants in ILT20 2025–2026 after representing the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in the first three seasons.
Despite being signed by the Kolkata Knight Riders to replace Harry Gurney, he never got to play for the Shah Rukh Khan-owned team.
The T20 World Cup 2026 will be played from February 7 to May 8 across five venues in India – Ahmedabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai – and three in Sri Lanka – Colombo (RPS Stadium and SSC Stadium) and Pallekele.
USA is placed in Group A along with India, Pakistan, Namibia, and the Netherlands in the T20 World Cup 2026. The USA will play three of their matches in India and one in Sri Lanka.
On February 7, the USA will play their opening Group A encounter against India at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. On February 10, they will play Pakistan at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo. The USA's final two Group A games against Namibia and the Netherlands will take place in Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium on February 13 and 15, respectively.
