WATCH: Young girl imitates Jasprit Bumrah’s distinctive bowling action; video goes viral

Bumrah is widely regarded as the best fast bowler across formats in contemporary cricket.

India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has been bowling exceptionally well ever since his comeback to international cricket following the back surgery.

The right-arm quick played an instrumental role in India’s Asia Cup 2023 triumph and then made the batters dance to his tunes in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup last year.

Bumrah carried on his brilliance to Test cricket on the tour of South Africa and in the home series against England. To top it all, he was declared Player-of-the-Tournament in India’s T20 World Cup 2024 victory in June.

Bumrah was lethal with the new ball and nailed his yorkers to perfection in the death overs, finishing the tournament with 15 wickets to his name at an economy of 4.50.

With his exceptional performances in all forms of the game, Jasprit Bumrah has inspired a generation of aspiring cricketers to take up fast bowling.

Recently, a video emerged on social media, in which a young girl can be seen mimicking Bumrah’s distinctive bowling action. From the quirky run-up to the precise delivery stride, the imitation was near-perfect.

Here’s the clip:

Jasprit Bumrah is currently managing his workload. He didn’t travel with the Indian team to Sri Lanka for the white-ball series. The ace pacer is likely to return to action in the home Test series against Bangladesh next month.
