SL v IND 2024: WATCH- "Sign karu, aapne bola mere liye hai"- Virat Kohli’s hilarious interaction with a fan asking for autograph

Virat Kohli will play an ODI for the first time since November 2023.

Virat Kohli's funny interaction with a fan | XVirat Kohli was seen in a funny conversation with a young fan after he was done with his batting session ahead of the first ODI between India and Sri Lanka in Colombo. Kohli and Rohit Sharma will return to ODI action for the first time since 2023 World Cup final.

Kohli and Rohit were requested to play in the Sri Lanka ODIs, despite them requesting a break, as new coach Gautam Gambhir wanted to set the ball rolling. India only has six ODIs before the ICC Champions Trophy to get their combination right.

During a training session on Thursday, Kohli made a heartfelt gesture that drew everyone in. After his net session, he noticed some admirers waiting for him, so he decided to greet them before heading to the dressing room.

Kohli thought one fan had a gift for him, but when he approached, he learned that the person only wanted an autograph.

Feeling tricked, he grinned and said, "Sign karu kya? Aapne bola mere liye hai, abhi aake bol rhe ho sign. (Should I sign? You said it was for me, now you are asking for a sign.)"

Fan replied that he didn’t trick Kohli and photographs were for him, though he did want an autograph in exchange. In response, Kohli said, “Oh, acha, acha (oh, okay).”
