Team India is prepping for the first of the three T20Is against Sri Lanka which will be played in Kandy on July 27. Not only was the fielding drill during the practice session intense, but also fun-filled.

India's new T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav and star all-rounder Hardik Pandya were seen laughing and hugging it out during the drill, which also made new India coach Gautam Gambhir smile seeing the boys enjoying their fielding practice.

In a recent video uploaded by the Board of Cricket Council of India (BCCI), multiple Indian stars like Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant, and others were seen participating in an intense wicket-throw drill under fielding coach T Dilip.

However, the players were also having some fun during the drill that showed great chemistry in the side as they embark on a new journey without three of the most senior players of the team.

This will be Suryakumar Yadav’s first time captaining India in a full-time capacity with the three T20Is to be played in Kandy on July 27, 28, and 30.

The series will be followed by 3 ODIs, to be played in Colombo, with Rohit Sharma returning to captain and Virat Kohli also coming back to the ODI fold.
