India’s batting superstar Virat Kohli and young batter Rinku Singh have standing ovations for KL Rahul after the wicketkeeper-batter rescued Team India from an embarrassing batting collapse in Centurion.
In a tough situation for the Indian cricket team, Rahul played a standout innings to rescue the tourists in the ongoing first Test against South Africa at the Supersport Park Cricket Stadium in Centurion on Wednesday, December 27.
Despite the failure of top-order batters like Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, and Shreyas Iyer on a challenging Centurion pitch, Rahul stepped up, building partnerships with lower-order players, and scored his 8th Test century.

The right-handed batter’s magnificent hundred helped India reach a respectable total of 245 runs on the board against the Proteas. Rahul completed his century with an awesome six off Nandre Burger before being dismissed by the same South African pacer at 101. The star wicketkeeper-batter smashed 14 fours and 4 sixes in his memorable knock.
Meanwhile, the entire Indian camp was happy for Rahul, and Virat Kohli, along with other Indian contingent from the dressing room, celebrated his ton. On the other hand, Rinku Singh was seen clapping for Rahul after he notched up his well-deserved century against South Africa with a six off Coetzee.
