India and South Africa clashed in the 3rd and final T20I of the series with the Men in Blue looking to level the series 1-1.
South Africa captain Aiden Markram won the toss and chose to bowl first. Keshav Maharaj struck twice in his first over, removing Shubman Gill (8) and Tilak Varma (0). But then Yashasvi Jaiswal (60) and Suryakumar Yadav (100) added 112 runs for the third wicket as India posted 201/7 in 20 overs.
This century by Suryakumar Yadav took him level with Rohit Sharma and Glenn Maxwell for the record of the most centuries in T20Is- 4.
In response, South African batters faltered this time as Indian bowlers kept the pressure on them. David Miller with 35 and Aiden Markram with 25 runs were the main scorers for Proteas. But it was the Indian spinners who did the damage with Ravindra Jadeja taking 2/25 in his 3 overs.
But the best performance with the ball came from birthday boy Kuldeep Yadav, who picked 5/17 in 2.5 overs, as South Africa was bundled out for 95 runs in 13.5 overs.
India won the match by 106 runs to level the three-match series 1-1. Suryakumar Yadav won the Player of the Match for his 4th T20I ton and was also named the Player of the Series.
Cricket fraternity was all praises for left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav who picked his second fifer in the format. He received well-deserved praise on his special day for his amazing performance.
