The Indian cricket team was greeted warmly as it arrived in South Africa for the forthcoming multi-format tour, which begins with the first T20I on Sunday, December 10 at Kingsmead in Durban.
The tour will begin with a three-match T20I series, which is seen as critical preparation for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. India will then play 3 ODIs and it will be followed by a 2-Test series.
India players, led by stand-in captain Suryakumar Yadav, left for South Africa on Wednesday and reached Durban on Thursday. The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) shared a video of the players leaving the country and landing in Durban.

As it turned out, the players were greeted by rain with a few players using their suitcases as cover while scampering toward the team bus.
When the players and support staff arrived at the team hotel in Durban, they were greeted traditionally. The hotel staff was spotted greeting the players enthusiastically.
The Men in Blue were greeted in the Rainbow Nation with a desi-style welcome, where they were cheered and photographed.
