India defeated Bangladesh in the Nidahas Tri-series 2018 match on March 14, 2018 by 17 runs. Thanks to this win, India has qualified for the finals of the Nidahas trophy and will face the winner of the Sri Lanka-Bangladesh match on 16th March, 2018.
The hero for India proved to be Rohit Sharma, who made 89 and Suresh Raina, who made 47. But it was the teenage spin sensation Washington Sundar, who impressed everyone with his amazing bowling in the power play.
Sundar ended up with figures of 3/22 in four overs and earned praise from every quarter for the control he had on his skills at such a young age. Despite Mushfiqur Rahim’s 72*, India held on to a win and though Rohit Sharma got the player of the match award, Sundar was the one who garnered the laurels.
BCCI shared a video of Washinton Sundar providing the match report in 60 seconds, on their website and official Twitter.
