Virat Kohli pulled off a stunning, one-handed diving catch to dismiss Nathan Smith during the first ODI between India and New Zealand at Eden Park in Auckland on Wednesday (November 4).

The Indian stalwart produced this magical moment in the 29th over of the Kiwi innings when Smith tried to drive a full delivery from Anshul Kamboj without moving his feet, getting a thick outside edge.

Stationed at second slip, Kohli flung himself full-length to his right and scooped the ball inches above the turf with his right hand. The third umpire reviewed the catch and confirmed it was clean, sending Smith back for 1 run off 9 balls.

After plucking the blinder, Virat Kohli broke into a fiery, playful "bow-and-arrow" celebration aimed towards the Indian dugout.

The breakthrough reduced New Zealand to 115/7, keeping India firmly in the driver's seat during the opening fixture of the five-match series.
