Team India pacer Arshdeep Singh has revealed that he has transformed himself into a serious cricketer and his phase of making reels after getting some scrutiny for the same on social media. Arshdeep Singh is currently with the Indian team on the New Zealand tour for the white-ball matches.

The lanky Punjab left-arm pacer is known for his witty personality and infectious energy on and off the field and is known for making reels on social media on and off the field, after matches and in team buses.

During a pre-match interview, the 27-year-old fast bowler joked with his distinctive Punjabi charm when questioned about his changing personality.

"Reel-veelan ka daur gaya paaji, ab serious Arshdeep ban chuka hai," Arshdeep Singh told broadcasters in a chat on Sony Sports Network.

The clever quip instantly set the broadcast panel laughing. Arshdeep, a crowd favorite thanks to his playful social media posts and celebration reels, delivered the line with impeccable comedic timing before turning his attention back to getting ready to bowl.

Picking up the pre-match chat, the Indian pacer swiftly shifted from playful joking to the strategy for the upcoming match, making clear that the team is not lingering on past wins.

Asked about India's momentum in the ongoing series, Arshdeep underlined how important it is to stay in the present and keep standards high.

"Jeet ab past ka hissa ban chuki hai paaji. "Abhi yahi team mein baat hai, environment mein baat hai ke iss match mein kaise apna best dena hai, and look at it as a three-match series and give our best,” he added.

Even though he jokingly says he has become "serious," Arshdeep's performances on the field have been thoroughly disciplined. The left-arm pacer has become a key weapon in India's bowling attack in the white-ball formats.
