Former Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik highly praised the young pacer Prince Yadav for his performance in the second T20I between New Zealand and India, which was hosted in Christchurch on October 24, 2026.

The fast bowler took Mayank Yadav's place in the playing XI and justified the team management's confidence with an outstanding spell.

Prince claimed the vital wicket of Finn Allen while giving away only 30 runs in his four overs. Karthik said that India can certainly consider investing in the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) bowler.

"I thought he was India's best bowler today. Even though Axar bowled economically better, Prince Yadav's spells were very impressive. At the speeds he bowled, he created more opportunities; they dropped a couple of catches. I think he is someone that you can definitely invest in for the future.

He looks very sorted; he has got simple plans but executes them very, very nicely. He has got pace, and overall, if you see among the pacers, definitely the best, but I thought amongst everybody who bowled today, he looked the sharpest,” Karthik said about Prince on Cricbuzz.

Glenn Phillips made 70, and Bevon Jacobs made 58, as New Zealand posted 180/5 in 20 overs.
