The second ODI between New Zealand and India which was hosted by Seddon Park in Hamilton was called off due to rain as the showers constantly disrupted the match, and had even delayed the toss at the start.
Though New Zealand captain Kane Williamson won the toss and chose to bowl first, only 12.5 overs of Indian batting innings were possible in which they scored 89/1, after the match was curtailed to 29 overs after an interruption after 4.5 overs were bowled.
After this rain break, the staff had their opportunity and that was when India’s Suryakumar Yadav was seen boarding a super sopper and asking a fellow staffer some questions.

Suryakumar Yadav was not the only Indian player to be seen on the ground when the rain stopped as the ground staff worked hard to dry the field. Sanju Samson was another member of the Men in the Blue side who was seen helping them with the covers.
Unlike Suryakumar, Sanju was not part of the Indian XI for this match, as he was dropped to include Deepak Hooda in the XI. This caused quite an outrage of social media, with fans slamming the team management and BCCI for the treatment that was meted out to the Kerala batter.
