The talented Sanju Samson was seen unleashing some amazing shots during the practice in Wellington ahead of the first T20I against New Zealand which will be played on November 18, 2022.
Indian team has been practicing hard and much is expected from the new-look young side under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya which is missing the likes of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Virat Kohli, all of whom have been rested for this tour.
BCCI shared a video from the Indian team’s net session on the eve of the first T20 which showcased stand-in captain Hardik Pandya, wicketkeeper-batters Rishabh Pant, Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson, batters Shreyas Iyer, Shubman Gill, all-rounder Deepak Hooda amongst others unleashing their full batting prowess.
Of the many shots, Sanju Samson and Shreyas Iyer's no-look big hits were the most attractive ones. Iyer and Samson, both ignored for the T20 World Cup, were seen dispatching the length deliveries while batting on the practice wickets at the Basin Reserve.
The video also shows Shreyas Iyer hitting no-look sixes, while Sanju’s two shots - once over square leg, the next one was finer towards the long leg- were amazing.
