One of tennis' greatest champions, Novak Djokovic, had Indian cricket legend Virat Kohli as an unexpected supporter during his thrilling Wimbledon fourth-round victory.
After making a daring comeback against Australia's Alex de Minaur, Djokovic took a moment to respond to Kohli's Instagram shoutout in the most Djokovic-like manner imaginable: with silent appreciation and unwavering concentration.
On Center Court, Djokovic displayed incredible tenacity as he rallied from a one-set disadvantage to win the match 1-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4. The Australian was in control early on and even took a 4-1 lead in the fourth set, which appeared to force a fifth set. To guarantee his spot in the quarterfinals, Djokovic, however, won five straight games in typical champion fashion.
"What a win! It was business as usual for the gladiator," Kohli wrote on his Instagram story, sharing a clip from the match.
Upon seeing the message, Djokovic acknowledged Kohli's social media homage with a brief but impactful four-word post of his own: "Thank you for supporting."

The 38-year-old Djokovic is aiming to make even more history after becoming the third player in history to win 100 Wimbledon matches on Saturday, behind Roger Federer and Martina Navratilova. He would tie Federer for the most Wimbledon titles won by a man with eight, and surpass Margaret Court's record with his 25th Grand Slam victory.
The Serb will now play Flavio Cobolli of Italy in the quarterfinals for the sixteenth time at the All England Club.
