The Instagram profiles of Pakistan cricketers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have been restricted in India. This step was done in response to the Pahalgam terrorist incident. Earlier this week, Arshad Nadeem, Pakistan's Olympic gold medal-winning javelin thrower, had his Instagram account suspended in India.
Users attempting to view the Instagram sites of Babar Azam and Mohammed Rizwan receive a pop-up notification stating "Account not available in India." This is because we followed a court request to prohibit this content.
In India, the Instagram accounts of Shoaib Akhtar, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Haris Rauf have also been disabled. Nonetheless, people in India can view the content that has been placed on the accounts of Shahid Afridi, Wasim Akram, and Waqar Younis, who are still active.

Instagram accounts have been blocked in the wake of the Pahalgam terror assault, which claimed the lives of 26 people, mostly tourists.

Pakistani social media profiles with a large following in India have been the target of harsh measures from the Indian government. A number of YouTube channels from Pakistan were also blocked in India last week.
In India, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Akhtar, and Basit Ali saw that their YouTube channels were blocked, and that users could no longer see the films that were uploaded to them.
Other Pakistani celebrities such as Mahira Khan, Ali Zafar, Hania Aamir and Fawad Khan have also had their Instagram pages blocked in India.
