Former Australia cricketer David Warner, on Saturday, we encountered an unusual flight delay with Air India in New Delhi. Warner went unsold in the IPL 2025 big auction, therefore he registered for the Pakistan Super League Season 10 draft instead.
Warner and other passengers were forced to board an airplane with no pilots, resulting in hours of waiting time. The airline confirmed that bad weather in Bengaluru caused extensive disruptions and delays for all airlines operating in the region.
"We've boarded a plane with no pilots and waiting on the plane for hours. Why would you board passengers knowing that you have no pilots for the flight?" Warner expressed his frustration on social media platform X.
Air India addressed the situation through their social media response.
"Dear Mr. Warner, today's challenging weather in Bengaluru caused diversions and delays across all airlines. The crew operating your flight was held up on an earlier assignment affected by these disruptions, which led to a delay in departure. We appreciate your patience and thank you for choosing to fly with us," Air India explained on X.
On the other hand, eminent cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle had the same complaint of waiting for hours with IndiGo airlines. This is not Bhogle's first experience with the airline. Over the years, he has periodically expressed concerns about delays, unresponsive staff, and other service difficulties, usually with his typical wit. His complaints have struck a chord with many passengers.
This time commentator, and presumably fellow travelers, were left waiting for a flight despite the scheduled departure time, without any intimation by the airline.
"One day I am going to invite people from @IndiGo6E home for dinner and ask them to wait outside the door till the table is laid and the food is cooked. #Rude. Always #IndigoFirstPassengerLast,” Bhogle posted on X.
