In what can be seen as a major shake-up in ICC Men’s T20I rankings, the India duo of Abhishek Sharma and Varun Chakaravarthy have closed in on the no.1 spots after their respective expertise thanks to their exploits in the recent T20I series against England.
Abhishek Sharma produced the best innings of his fledgling international career as he hit a quickfire 135 in the series' fifth and final encounter in Mumbai, rocketing up 38 places on the T20I batter rankings as a result.

Tilak Varma, thanks to his brilliant batting in England T20Is, has solidified third spot in the ICC T20I batting rankings. Australia’s Travis Head remains the no.1 T20I batter, however, Abhishek, Tilak, and Suryakumar Yadav, who is at the 5th spot, are all closing in.
Hardik Pandya (up five spots to tie 51st) and Shivam Dube (up 38 ranks to 58th) both made significant strides up the T20I batter rankings following strong performances against England.
