
Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag and his wife, Aarti, have reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram amid continuing divorce rumors. On Thursday, January 23, various reports reported that the pair is on the verge of divorce after 20 years of marriage, citing the fact that they had been living separately for some months.
Sehwag and Aarti were married in 2004 and have two kids, Aryavir and Vedant. Fans have also observed that the former India opener's wife has been missing from his social media photos in recent months, fueling speculation that they are splitting up.
The couple hasn’t made any official announcements yet but speculations are rife amongst the fans that all is not well in Sehwag’s personal life.
Sehwag is considered to be the second-best Test opener for India ever behind Sunil Gavaskar. The Delhi-born cricketer has scored 8586 from 104 matches (180 innings) at an average of 49.34 with 23 hundreds and 32 fifties.
He was the first Indian to score a Test triple-hundred and remains one of the four batters to score two triple-hundreds in Test cricket. He was also the first captain to score a double hundred in ODIs and the second Indian to do so.
In ODIs, he has 8273 runs to his name from 251 matches (245 innings) at an average of 35.05 and a strike rate of 104.33 with 15 hundreds and 38 fifties. He also has 394 runs in T20Is with two half-centuries.
Sehwag was part of India’s 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 World Cup winning teams.
