In a surprising statement, Yograj Singh, former India player and father of Yuvraj Singh, has called MS Dhoni a “fearless man” and a “motivated captain.”

Last year, on the ZEE YouTube channel, Yograj Singh accused MS Dhoni of ruining his son Yuvraj Singh’s international career. Yograj believes that had it not been for Dhoni, Yuvraj would have gone to play for India a lot longer.

Yuvraj, who played a key role in India's 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 ODI World title wins under Dhoni's captaincy, retired from all forms of cricket in June 2019.

After Yuvraj was left out of the 2015 ODI World Cup squad, Yograj accused Dhoni of being the reason behind India's semifinal loss. He attacked Dhoni once more in 2019 and blamed him for India's loss in the World Cup semifinal.

"I won't forgive MS Dhoni. He should look at his face in the mirror. He is a very big cricketer, but what he has done against my son, everything is coming out now; it can never be forgiven in life. I have never done two things in life - first, I have never forgiven anybody who has done wrong for me, and second, I have never hugged them in my life, be it my family members or my kids," Yograj said in the interview.

However, now doing a complete 180 degree, Yograj Singh has praised MS Dhoni for the first time.

“I find Dhoni as a very motivated captain, who can tell people what to do. The best thing about Dhoni was that he could read the wicket can tell bowlers where to bowl. What I liked the most about him was that he was a fearless man.

If you remember in Australia, he was hit on the grill by Mitchell Johnson and he didn’t move a bit, he stood there and with the next ball, he pulled him for a six. Aise log kaafi kam hote hai (There are very few people like him),” Yograj Singh said on “Unfiltered by Samdish".
