Axar, who tied the knot with Meha in January 2023, uploaded the video on Instagram with the caption, "A great joy is coming."
His post making the announcement of pregnancy was flooded with congratulatory messages from fans and fellow cricketers.
Axar Patel was part of the Indian squad that defeated Bangladesh 2-0 in the recently held Test series at home. The 30-year-old has been rested for the ongoing T20I series against Bangladesh.
If India decided go with the traditional three-spinner ploy, Axar could return to the playing XI in the upcoming Test series against New Zealand, starting October 16 in Bengaluru.
