Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batter Azam Khan was down on his knees after being hit by a bouncer in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

Azam, who is playing for Guyana Amazon Warriors in the T20 tournament, was involved in a strange dismissal on Friday (August 30).

Batting at No. 5 against Antigua and Barbuda Falcons, the right-hander managed to score only five runs off seven deliveries.

He came out to bat at the number five spot against Antigua and Barbuda Falcons. The right-handed batter managed just five runs off seven deliveries. His only boundary came while facing Shamar Springer.

However, the bowler responded with a bouncer on the very next delivery. Azam Khan attempted a pull but couldn’t connect the ball. Instead, the ball struck his neck and he collapsed on the ground.

While going down, the batter bat also hit the stumps, which put an end to his innings. Azam was then seen on his knees, holding his neck as the rival players checked upon him. The team's physio also came on the field to examine him.

Azam Khans dismissal left the Guyana Amazon Warriors reeling at 77/4 in chase of 169. Despite the setback, the Warriors managed to secure a victory on the last delivery thanks to crucial cameos from Romario Shephard and Dwaine Pretorius.
