Former cricketer Yuvraj Singh on Friday (July 12) turned the fans nostalgic with his big hits as he slammed a brisk half-century in India's win over Australia in the second semi-final of the World Championship of Legends at Northampton.

India outclassed Australia by 86 runs to set up a final date with arch-rivals Pakistan, who defeated West Indies in the first semi-final by 20 runs. The title clash will be held at Edgbaston on Saturday (July 13).

Batting at No. 4, the India Champions skipper Yuvraj smashed 59 off 28 balls. His knock was studded with five sixes and four boundaries.

Besides Yuvraj, opener Robin Uthappa (65 off 35) and the dynamic Pathan brothers – Yusuf Pathan (51* off 23) and Irfan Pathan (50 off 19), scored scintillating half-centuries as India Champions racked up a mammoth 254/6 on the board.

Here’s Yuvraj Singh’s fiery knock:

Coming to the match, Australian Champions were restricted to 168/7 in 20 overs during the chase. It was a disappointing show with the bat as no one managed to hit a half-century for them. Tim Paine was the top scorer with 40* off 32 balls.

Pawan Negi led the bowling effort for India with figures of 2 for 35, while Dhawal Kulakarni (2 for 43) also picked up two scalps. Rahul Shukla (1 for 25), Harbhajan Singh (1 for 16) and Irfan (1 for 18) claimed one wicket wicket, rounding off a comprehensive bowling performance.
