ENG v PAK 2024: 'Team ka satyanash kar diya hai'- Ramiz Raja slams Pakistan team after T20I series loss to England

Pakistan lost both the T20Is which were played in rain-marred 4-match series to England.

England decimated Pakistan in T20I series | GettyFormer Pakistan captain and PCB chief Ramiz Raja pulled no punches as he slammed the Men in Green side who lost the 4-T20I series against England 0-2. Only two T20Is were possible due to rain washing away the other two matches.

England managed to win both the game, including the fourth and the final match at Kennington Oval. They dominated the Pakistan team in all departments, despite Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan giving them a strong start after being asked to bat first.

But a poor showing by the middle order meant Pakistan made 157 runs only. England chased down the total with ridiculous ease as the Pakistan keeper grassed two catches with Phil Salt scoring 45 in 24 balls. England won by 7 wickets in 15.3 overs.

Ramiz expressed his worries about the experimentation within Pakistan's white-ball setup. He once again castigated the management for the repercussions that resulted from their decision to experiment.

"They should stop experimenting with the team. Go into a game with a proper combination. You need to get out of the phobia of strike rate because you don't have that kind of player. Aapne is team ka satyanash kar diya hai (You have completely made a cock-up of this team)," Ramiz said on his YouTube channel.

Ramiz has openly aired his dissatisfaction about the choice to use Saim Ayub as an opening batter. This alteration in the batting lineup interrupted the highly effective combination between Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, which was adopted during Mohammad Hafeez's brief term as Pakistan's cricket director.

"You have ruined the team by breaking the opening pair (of Babar and Rizwan). The role of the middle order is not defined. You have put all-rounders in the middle and two wicket-keepers are playing. You are changing the fast bowlers. Your spinners don't spin the ball and don't have the confidence. You put Imad Wasim out of the playing XI. There is no sideways movement and you have completely dismantled the team just before the T20 World Cup," he added.

Heading into the T20 World Cup 2024 tournament, Pakistan finds itself placed in Group A, alongside India, Canada, USA, and Ireland.
