Pakistan registered a seven-wicket victory over Ireland in the second game of the three-T20I series at Clontarf Cricket Club Ground, Dublin on Sunday (May 12).
Having lost the opening T20I by five wickets, it was a must-win match for the Babar Azam-led side to stay alive in the series.
Chasing 194 to win, Pakistan found themselves struggling at 13/2 and it seemed that the Men in Green might concede the series with a game to spare. However, Mohammad Rizwan (75* off 46) and Fakhar Zaman (78 off 40) slammed blazing half-centuries to ensure Pakistan’s victory with 19 deliveries remaining.
During the second T20I, however, Pakistan’s star pacer Shaheen Afridi didn’t experience a pleasant time at the venue.
According to a Geo News report, an Afghanistan supporter misbehaved with Shaheen when the left-arm quick was making his way onto the field from the dressing room.
Disregarding the offensive language, Shaheen alerted the security personnel. As a consequence, the fan was removed from the ground.
